How Incognito in Weybridge works
Incognito braces still use metal brackets and wires, which are the style of braces most able to deliver the force and precision needed to correct complex and severe misalignments. The difference with Incognito in Weybridge is that the brackets are fixed to the tongue-side of the teeth rather than the fronts.
The gold alloy brackets are each individually made to precisely fit the inner surface of each tooth, using detailed measurements taken from impressions and a handheld scanner.
Once the brackets are in place, they are strung together with wire, just like traditional braces. The difference is that no one can see them.
How to get Incognito in Weybridge
Come in to see us at Weybridge Orthodontics and we can examine your teeth to make sure you do indeed need Incognito. If you do, we take all the measurements and send them off to the manufacturer. Because each bracket is custom-made, it takes about 3 weeks for the braces to be created and sent back to us for fitting to your teeth.
You will take a few days to get used to having braces on the inner surfaces of your teeth, and you will need to learn how to keep them thoroughly clean. But once you have got the hang of them, these braces will fit neatly into your life and over the next little while straighten out your teeth, apparently by magic.
