Who is orthodontics for?

discreet orthodonticsOrthodontics is now seen as standard for children and teenagers, but at our Weybridge dental practice we have seen an increasing number of adult patients who would like to straighten their teeth, without wearing traditional braces.

At Surrey Braces in Weybridge, we believe that orthodontic treatment is for anyone who wants it. Whether you are referred to us by your dentist or come to us on your own volition, if you would like to straighten your teeth or improve your bite (the way that your jaws meet together) we invite you to join us for a consultation.

What happens at my orthodontics consultation?

Your orthodontist will take a detailed medical and dental history, and will listen to your concerns before undertaking a thorough clinical examination of your teeth, gums, and bite. They will then discuss the pros and cons of all appropriate treatment options, so that you can make an educated choice about the best way forward.

What are my options?

Modern orthodontics means more than just metal braces. Depending on your clinical need and your personal preference, your orthodontist may recommend a fixed appliance (braces) or a removable one (aligners). Both options have many advantages and we are confident that we can find the best treatment for you, no matter what your needs.

Braces

We offer a number of fixed appliances at our Weybridge dental centre. These may be tooth-coloured or lingual – attached to the rear surfaces of your teeth.

Aligners

Clear aligners that fit over your teeth have the additional advantage of being removable, for minimal impact on your lifestyle.
